What is Body Zen?

Body Zen is a way to develop more body intelligence. If you can feel and listen to what your body is telling you, you can make better decisions. Decisions that are beneficial to you in the long term.

Practically, Body Zen is a way to release happy hormones, it changes and optimizes your metabolism (your weight is just right) and it makes you physically resilient and mentally flexible. This means that you are healthy and you can do what you want to do whenever you want to do it. Freedom.

This is Body Zen in more detail. I see it as a way to optimize your metabolism, to become mentally free and flexible, and to get the most energy and happy hormones in as little time as possible.

I exercise between 2-10 minutes per day, average 30-60 minutes per week, I can eat and drink what I want and my body is in balance. How cool is that!

Body Zen consists of 3 pillars: Movement, Mindset, and Breathing

Movement

Light exercise only. I have found that high-intensity workout can be fun but it is not necessarily beneficial for your body. Body Zen workout is 2 to maximum 10 minutes per day. Low-intensity workout but high energy output.  

Mindset

I can eat whatever I want. I call this Detox – Retox thinking. If you live healthy 80% of the time (at home and at work) you can do whatever you want in the 20% that is left (party time!). The mindset here is: “anything is allowed”. Is this flexible or what?

Breathing

Did you know that:

  • 90% of the people use only 30% of their breathing capacity.
  • 80% of our energy comes from oxygen
  • 70% of all toxins leave our body through the exhale.
