4 Talents 4 Life To Leave a Legacy
People that have left, or are leaving, a legacy have followed the same 4 step path. These are the 4 Talents 4 Life. Nelson Mandela, Steve Jobs, Wim Hof…you and me? Much like the message in Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist we are all living our own legacy. If you want to leave a legacy behind, the 4 Talents 4 Life are all you need to know!
Using examples from our own experience as well as from people that have been an inspiration for us, we explain that people who leave a legacy follow these 4 steps:
1 Have an unrealistic dream
Nelson Mandela was in prison and his dream was to end the Apartheid regime in South Africa, Steve Jobs wanted to challenge the status quo, and Wim Hof (The Iceman) wants to win the war against bacteria and viruses by empowering people to influence their own immune system. Pretty unrealistic right?
2 Step out of your comfort zone
“Life starts out of your comfort zone” is a famous phrase. Like most clichés, this one is true as well. Stepping out of your comfort zone might be a bit scary and the chance of “failing” might be bigger but this is where change happens, energy moves and life in it’s widest form is created. Often facing a fear makes it disappear and sometimes you will even find a true passion behind that fear.
3 Get up after you fall
The only difference between people who think they are successful in life and people who don’t is that the people who do, have learned that failure really doesn’t exist. It is a matter of getting up after you have fallen. From every mistake we can learn a valuable lesson, get up and move on again. Falling is “learning how not to”. Getting up again is essential for making things work, and becoming happy and energetic at the same time.
4 Dare to ask for help
People who leave a legacy know how to gather the right people around them. They know what they are good at and ask for help when they need it. If you dare to ask for help you are showing who you really are, a bit vulnerable maybe. By doing so you invite other people to do the same. Nobody on a life mission is doing it alone.

What can I say? Am I leaving a legacy? I believe so. I believe everybody is. Although I feel more than good enough, I am not there yet! My unrealistic dream is to enlighten the world. An enlightened world is a world in which more choices are made based on the feeling of love instead of fear. I do this by raising consciousness through talks, books, blogging and coaching. In practice I want to decrease income difference and to end poverty, to end wars (so 2014!) and empower people to take authority into their own hands and live their life in happiness, good health and inner strength. Unrealistic dream? Yes. Am I enjoying myself living in this fantasy? Yes, very much!! Let’s leave a legacy together.
